ABOUT DR SAUNDERSON
Dr Rebecca Saunderson is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology. She graduated from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences with first class honours, from Medicine with Honours and received the Arthur Edward Mills Graduation Prize, the Harry J Clayton Memorial Prize for Medicine and Clinical Medicine, the Paediatric health education prize, as well as the Esma May Harris, Dr Catherine Hamlin, John Wait and John Flood Scholarships. She undertook her physician’s training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital prior to being awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship to undertake a Masters at the University of Cambridge where her MPhil focused on infectious diseases. She returned to complete her dermatology training in NSW and was awarded her fellowship in 2018.
Post-fellowship, she was awarded the F C Florance Bequest by the Australasian College of Dermatologists to travel abroad and spent time at UPenn (Philadelphia), and Henri-Mondor University Hospital (Paris).
She currently works in the public and private system, and is a Senior Lecturer with the Northern Clinical School, University of Sydney.
She is a visiting medical officer at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
She has memberships to the American Academy of Dermatology, The Australasian College of Dermatology and the European Academic of Dermatology and Venerology.
She has subspeciality experience in female genital dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and neurofibromatosis. She is passionate about sustainable healthcare and is a part of the Environmental and Sustainability Group for the Australiasian College of Dermatologists.
